At Iridescent,our mission is to inspire underserved children to reach for the stars, to become scientists, engineers and mathematicians, to lift their own communities and to tackle the world’s biggest problems.
We achieve our goal by training scientists, engineers and mathematicians to develop and teach exciting, hands-on courses on cutting-edge topics.
Our courses are real-world and sessions have hands-on, inquiry-based experiments. These experiments are taken from master teachers and informal science education organizations. What makes us unique is the story that links the experiments together, showing children the real-world relevance of science and math. Thus participants learn about viscosity, gravity or action-reaction in a course on Animal Locomotion or about pressure in a course on Cardiovascular Mechanics.
All engineers go through a rigorous training program which they learn how to develop exciting courses, engage large audiences, teach complex ideas simply and check for understanding.
We teach children and parents togetherto build strong learning support structures.
